Today, before going out on my final shoots, I thought I would write about how I load film into the Nikon D700.

Step one: Open the back of the camera up

Step two: Insert the roll of film. You want the part that sticks out, to be at the bottom.

Step three: pull the film out, so it stretches to where you can see the red rectangle. The film will naturally curl over the roll.

Step four: Close the back, making sure the film is laying flat.

Step five: Shoot a blank to make sure the film is rolling correctly. The round, target like symbol will appear if everything is working monthly. When you are ready to eject the film, rewind it by pressing both red target buttons down and then you're okay toopen up the back.
