Editing Part 4 / Adding Montage

After this editing session, we have now completed all montage scenes in our documentary. These are different videos, edited together to create musical interludes within our documentary. We wanted to add these in to give our film a music video effect, and keep the feel of being out in a club throughout our video.

To begin we montaged footage of just the empty club, with shots of the lights on the dance floor and the different DJ setups that The Arch uses. During the climax of the video we then have club night footage inserted. This should create a good audience response as its fun to watch and makes you feel as if you had just stepped into The Arch.

Finally, on the last beat drop in the track, Rob came up with the idea of muting the track and just having Sammy, the owners, voice over the top of the montage clips. This effect works really well and added another dimention to the edit, as controls the audiences response.
