Inspiration Insert: Louise Zergaeng Pomeroy
Louise is a graphic artist and illustrator based in London. Her work is a mix of hand-drawn line and digital colour.
When listening to Shura's 'Nothing's Real' Album I was drawn to the album art. The illustrative style is very inspirational to my project. The mix between photography and sketch has made me want to add a photographic element to my illustration portraits. The paint stroke effect is very effective, and I may play around with this idea in my work.
The colour choices in her work make you think about how black and white and full colour can effect an image and the way a viewer sees it. I hope to use both in my work, to draw the the eye to certain aspects of the design. I think its important as a designer to think about how your work will be viewed, and which aspects you want to jump out first, and which parts you want to remain hidden or harder to find.
